Can you hear it…? The RUMBLE… Something big is coming to Burton on Trent.

On Saturday September 14th 2024 we’re celebrating the first Sonic Boom Music Festival in our town Burton on Trent. We’re building a festival stage in the middle of Market Place, and filling it with the best new music from national and international touring artists. We have a special guest host from Radio 6Music and we’re going to light up the town.

WHO CAN GET INVOLVED?

Sonic Boom Music Festival is a new music festival - so original artists ONLY please - applications from covers bands and tribute acts wont be reviewed.

We are looking for musicians, bands, solo artists, DJs, MCs, promoters, venues, pubs, clubs, cafes… anyone who loves new music in Burton and wants to be part of this amazing day can get involved. We have a limited amount of funding available for ideas to keep the music playing into the night on September 14th.

Here’s the plan... Around 8pm the main stage in Market Place closes and that’s where you come in…

Send us your ideas to keep the music playing. The more ideas, the better the event. Are you a venue and want to put on the best punk night the town has seen? Are you a solo artist and want to do a takeover in a high street café? Want to play in a chip shop? Want someone to come and play in your cafe? Do you love D&B and want to put on a night of beats…?
